| From Atlanta take I-75
North to I-575 North, which will become
Hwy
515 North. Just past the town of Blue Ridge, GA, turn left at traffic
light onto GA Hwy 60 toward Mineral Bluff. Go
approximately 3 miles, in the town of Mineral Bluff turn right onto Spur 60
and continue 15 miles until Hwy 60 dead ends into Hwy
19/74.
Turn right onto US Hwy 19/74 East. The drive to the entrance of Nantahala Mountain Resort is another 23 miles from the Wal-Mart in Murphy. You will pass through Murphy and Andrews. Outside Andrews, US Hwy 19/74 will narrow to a two-lane highway and proceed into the Nantahala Gorge. 6.5 miles after the road narrows to two lanes, you will encounter the intersection of Hwy 19/74 and Hwy 129. Continue on Hwy 19/74 to the first road on the right, Franklin Branch Road, which is the entrance to Nantahala Mountain Resort. This trip will take you approximately 2 1/2 hours and the last half of this trip is a beautiful scenic mountain trip through the mountains of North Georgia and the mountains of Western North Carolina. |
